~ College Notes to Myself ~ Day 6# – 5th September 2022, Monday.

Today’s Highlights

I meet my first acquaintance at Islamic Religion class, she’s from Arabic Literature. Her name is Ayra, though Ayra is her selfmade name, so I should’ve called her ‘Ayu’ hahah…

Today’s Lesson

Well, I shouldn’t have to be that ambitious. I went to the class too early, the class was started at 11 am, I went in at 10:15 am :’), so at that time the Japanese Studies lecturer was still teaching 🙂

~ College Notes to Myself ~ Day 7# – 6th September 2022, Tuesday

Today’s Highlights

I gave my first presentation on Russian Civilization and Arts class on topic of Introducing to Russia in Science & Technology. It’s been a while I have not done it again. Really glad doing it again here!

Another important thing happen today is I finally borrowed books from crystal of knowledge or a.k.a the University of Indonesia’s central library. I borrowed Russian History in Indonesian and English.

Today’s Lesson

Mrs.Ira taught us how to give the interactive presentation, such as eye contact, making a small joke, ask a question to audiences, use some visuals narations, and give the example that is understandable.

~ College Notes to Myself ~ Day 8# – 7th September 2022, Wednesday

Today’s Highlights

My class was online, we just did some regular practice, pronouncing the alphabet, and for the first time since may last year, I started got my first assignment on producing the russian language sound.

Today’s Lesson

I sent my video assignment on producing the russian sound. My lecturer, Mr.Arcel, said that it was good enough work, but I need to improve and prioritizing the sound acuration than the pronunciation speed.

~ College Notes to Myself ~ Day 9# – 8th September 2022, Thursday

Today’s Highlights

Nothing’s new, just I got a test there, but I didn’t get tested, everyone didn’t realize that I haven’t got my turn to sing the russian alphabet hahah…

Today’s Lesson

As far as I’m concerned in this class, the lecturer seems very detail-oriented person, especially if you don’t pronounce it as he expected. He doesn’t care whether you’re in outside or you lost your pen, also he looks doesn’t comfortable to listen to a long explanation, such as “Sorry sir, I’m bla bla bla bla because na na na na.” We just need to act and do as normal as we should as well as trying to adapt to different teaching methods and lecturer’s character.

~ College Notes to Myself ~ Day 10# – 9th September 2022, Friday

Today’s Highlights

I kind of exploring another faculties at UI with my best friend, Ezra, who comes from Faculty of Nurse. I visited Faculty of Economic and Business & and meeting my friend since junior high school, Hanif who is in Faculty of Engineering, majoring in Computer Engineering.

Today’s Lesson

Well, I could add this day to my list of the worst day in my life. Can you imagine how awkward it is, when there was a stranger man came over to me then he sat beside me. I mean it was literally close, so close like sitting on angkot, and all of sudden explaining what his intention, the way he spoke was very well-trained, very fluent, maybe it was his speaking template. I almost get trapped into his convincing mouth. He opened his bag then showed me a small book that is filled with some vouchers, I didn’t even remember one of them, because I was still in shocked. What makes it even more unbelievable is that on behind of its book, it was written Rp150.000 :), and the scariest thing part, he asked my Instagram and asked whether I willingly to buy that book – a book that he said will be converted as a charity to those children who have to deal with brain disease – Oh god! I remembered that he used a medical term there, so that I could get convinced, he just don’t know how stupid I am!

By the time he asked how many books I want to purchase, I directly said to him if I’m interested in purchasing, I’ll send it through digital payment, but when I asked “Can I send it through transfer or other digital payments, he said “Oh unfortunately kak (a call that is commonly used by millennials and Gen Z to call someone we haven’t closed with or in order to sound more polite as we have no idea what their age is), it just can be done through cash payment.” I thought he was a student here, it was why when I was asking back, “What semester are you in now?” He replied (with his unconvincing eyes). “Ohh, I’m not in school kak” 🙂

Long story short, because I was getting more not convinced and not interested to purchase it, I kind of pretend interested to send it if there is another way to purchase it, like I said above, a digital payment. As he answered, there is none, then the answer gets clear that I refuse to purchase the book, then he leaved us (I said us because Ezra came exactly when he asked me do I want to purchase it or not). I think he was so that brave to offer that stuff to me, it’s just because I was the only one on the chair who is sitting there (Inside Literature Canteen or Kantin Sastra). I looked on the other side, those people have someone else beside them. I was actually with Ezra, but Ezra leaved me for some minutes to take around, then it is no wonder that I was his target.

Main Lesson: Wherever you sit and walk, don’t do it by yourself only, and take care of your phone, wallet, and other things he/she may also targeting for.

Some Words to close this second week?

A bit awkward, but yeah it was all good.
